"My teachers didn't know what to say when performers struggled with confidence."
— Tracy, Dance Studio Director
Your Program Has a Confidence Gap. It's Been There Longer Than You Think.
A performer nails a skill in practice. Competition day arrives. She freezes. Her coach steps over, says something encouraging, and both of them walk away unsure if it helped.
That moment gets filed under "she was just nervous." But it doesn't go away.
It stacks. One missed correction at a time. One "you've got this" that didn't land. One season where a performer quietly stopped believing in herself and nobody caught it in time.
Coaches are trained to build skills. The confidence side of the job? Nobody ever trained them for that. The certification courses skip it. Their mentors didn't model it. The hiring conversation never asked about it.
Your performers feel the difference either way.
"What coaches have been doing is reactive. What I built is proactive."
— Shawn Byfield, Confidence Coach
This Is What Your Coaching Team Looks Like When Confidence Is Trained on Purpose
Four weeks from now, your coaches walk into every class with something they've never had before: a real, repeatable plan for what to say when a performer breaks down.
Coaches Who Know What to Say
A 15-second framework that builds performers back up after every correction. Performers walk away feeling seen instead of shut down.
A Team That Speaks the Same Language
Shared frameworks, shared vocabulary, a shared standard. Every performer gets the same quality of confidence-building no matter which coach is on the floor.
Performers Who Lead From the Inside
Coaches activate the natural leaders already on their team. Confidence spreads through the group from the inside out.
A Team That Holds Under Pressure
Mental performance tools for competitions, auditions, and bad days. Your coaches go in with a plan, not just hope.
A Credential That Means Something
Every coach who finishes all four weeks earns a certificate. A real credential they can display and you can require.
Four Sundays. Four Frameworks. One Coaching Team That Finally Knows What to Say.
Live on Zoom. One hour per session. Fully online. Four consecutive Sundays starting September 6, 2026.
Week One: The Confidence Foundation — September 6
Before your coaches can build confidence in a performer, they need to understand exactly where it breaks down. Week one answers the question your coaches have been asking for years, and changes how they see every performer in the room. Permanently.
Week Two: GPS Feedback — September 13
One correction delivered the wrong way can undo weeks of progress. This week your coaches learn a simple, repeatable model that takes 15 seconds and builds confidence even when the feedback is hard to hear. They'll use it starting the following Monday.
Week Three: Mental Performance Tools — September 20
The same tools elite athletes use to stay sharp under pressure aren't complicated. They're just not being taught to coaches. That changes in week three. Your coaches walk out with tools they can put in a performer's hands before their next event.
Week Four: The Confidence Cascade — September 27
The final session is designed to make your coaching team's job easier for the rest of their careers. When this week works, confidence in your program stops depending on any one coach being in every room. It spreads on its own.
Everything Included in Your Enrolment
One director enrols. Your entire coaching staff gets trained. Total value: over $14,600 CAD.
Four Live Training Sessions
Up to 10 coaches trained together. Value: $10,000
Everyone on your team hears the same frameworks at the same time. No gaps, no inconsistency. Your coaching culture shifts together instead of one person at a time.
Pre-Program Confidence Audit Call
30-minute private call before week one. Value: $500
This isn't generic training. Before anything starts, we look at your specific program, your specific gaps, and what success looks like for your team. You walk into week one already ahead.
Branded Resource Kit
All four frameworks as wall-ready visuals for your facility. Value: $297
Learning fades. Visuals don't. When the frameworks are on your facility wall, your coaches reference them every day, not just during the four weeks. The training stays alive long after the program ends.
12 Months of Replay Access
Every session recorded. Send to new staff any time. Value: $597
Staff turnover is real. New coaches shouldn't have to wait until next September to get trained the right way. The replays mean your whole team gets what they need, whenever they join.
Fifth Accountability Session
Check-in two to three weeks after week four. Value: $500
Most training fades within two weeks. This session is what turns learning into lasting change. Your team shows up knowing they'll be accountable, which means they actually implement.
Two Months of Group Support
Eight sessions with all enrolled directors. Value: $1,200
You're not figuring this out alone. Being in a room with other directors doing the same work is worth more than most people expect. Shared problems get solved faster, and you leave every session with something you can use.
Exclusive Discount on You Came to Slay
A workbook built for performers navigating confidence under pressure.
Enrolled organizations receive a special discount on bulk copies to put directly in their performers' hands. Your coaches learn how to build confidence. Your performers get the workbook that reinforces it. Discount included with enrolment.
One Private 45-Minute 1:1 Call
Bookable any time during the four weeks. Value: $1000
This is private coaching, not a check-in. Forty-five minutes with someone who knows your program, understands the frameworks your team is learning, and can look at whatever is in front of you right now. A specific performer, a staff dynamic, a confidence issue you can't quite name. This call is yours to use however you need it most.
Your Cohort Community
Six months of direct access to every director enrolled in this September cohort. These are the people doing the exact same work in their facilities at the same time you are. When something comes up mid-season, you're not figuring it out alone. You're in a group of people who already know the frameworks and understand the work. Value: $300
Certificates of Completion
A real credential for every coach who finishes. Included.
A certificate creates accountability before the program even starts. Your coaches show up to every session because something real is on the line. And it becomes a hiring tool for the future.

Is This for You?
This Is for You If…
  • You run a performance program and your coaches are great at the technical stuff but freeze up when a performer falls apart emotionally.
  • You've watched one of your coaches say something meant to help, and you could tell from across the room it didn't land.
  • You've lost a performer mid-season — not to injury, not to another club, but to doubt. And it still bothers you.
  • Your coaches set the tone your performers live inside. You're ready to make that tone intentional.
This Is Not for You If…
  • You're an individual coach looking to grow on your own. Keep an eye out, something for you is coming.
  • You want to send your staff without joining them. Your four Sundays aren't optional.
  • You need a fix by next weekend. This takes four weeks to learn and a full season to feel.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is $3,995 worth it for a small program?
Bring 10 coaches through and you're paying under $400 per person. Less than most one-day workshops, without four weeks of live training, replay access, group support, and a certificate. This pays for itself the first time one of your coaches knows exactly what to say.
How do I get my coaches to commit four Sundays?
When coaches understand this answers the hardest part of their job, they show up. The certificate gives them something real to earn, not just another thing to sit through.
We already talk about confidence. Do we need this?
Ask every coach right now: "If a performer comes to you before a competition, visibly scared, what do you say?" If you get different answers or hesitation, you have the gap CPLS closes. One is instinct. The other is training.
I run a figure skating program. Will this translate?
Yes. The comparison trap looks the same in a skating rink as on a stage. The perfectionism trap runs just as hard in gymnastics as in cheer. Different equipment. Same performer.
What if one of my coaches misses a session?
Life happens. If a coach misses a Sunday, the recorded replay is available within 24 hours and stays accessible for 12 months. They watch it on their own time, come back caught up, and stay with the group. Missing one session doesn't mean falling behind.
What if my coaches learn it but don't actually use it?
That's exactly what the fifth accountability session and two months of group support are designed to prevent. Most training fades because nothing follows the last day. CPLS builds accountability into the structure: a check-in two to three weeks after week four where your coaches report what they've implemented, followed by eight group sessions with other enrolled directors doing the same work. The frameworks live on your facility wall in front of your coaches every day. Implementation isn't left to chance.
Who Built This. And Why.
I got bullied in dance when I was a teenager. Not what you expected on a sales page. Stay with me.
I know what it feels like to walk into a rehearsal room with your confidence already gone. I know what it feels like to be struggling and have every adult around you reach for "it will be OK" because they don't know what else to say.
I needed someone who knew what to say. I didn't have that. It took me a few decades to work through what that does to a kid.
Since then, I've spent years adjudicating and MCing competitions across Canada. Thousands of performances. I've watched the same spiral play out in every gym and on every stage. A performer walks off after a rough run. Her coach's best offer is "at least you got out there."
By the time she walks off that stage, the confidence problem already happened. In the warm-up. In the hallway. Weeks earlier. Nobody caught it.
What coaches have been doing is reactive. What I built is proactive.
I'm a Certified Maxwell Leadership Coach, a competition adjudicator, and the author of You Came to Slay. The frameworks inside CPLS aren't from a textbook. They're things I tested on myself first, then on the performers I work with.
I built this because I wished it existed when I was sixteen.
— Shawn Byfield, Confidence Coach
"Most performers fail not because they aim too high and miss. Most performers fail because they aim too low and hit, and sometimes they don't aim at all."
— Shawn Byfield, Confidence Coach
Here's the Thing.
You already know your coaching team needs this.
Ten coaches. $3,995. That's less than $400 per coach to give your entire staff a skill they'll use for the rest of their careers. Most directors have spent more than that sending one person to a weekend workshop that changed nothing. This trains your whole team. At once.
The first five organizations get the early bird price: $2,995 CAD. Deadline July 31. Registration closes August 15. Program starts September 6. This cohort caps at 15 organizations. The next one isn't until September 2027.
If you've read this far, you already know this is for you. The only question is whether you're gonna do something about it today.

Ready to Train Your Team?

Your performers are counting on the adults in the room to know what to do when it matters most.
You can give them that. Not through hope. Not through instinct. Through training that actually works, built by someone who needed it once and spent years figuring it out.
I'll see you in September,
— Shawn Byfield, Confidence Coach
